Captain Power creator Gary Goddard, star Tim Dunigan and DVD producer / director, special features Roger Lay, Jr. are the guests on this week's edition of Slice of Sci-Fi on XM and Sirius Satellite radio. Learn more about the show's origins, it's legacy and the work Goddard and Lay have been doing to reintroduce the franchise. Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future is available on DVD for the first time ever on December 6.

Fans of Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future as well as Skeleton Warriors will be able to get DVD copies signed by the creators of both shows on December 9, 2011. Urban Archipelago Films' latest documentary feature, THE TABLE was the recipient of the best documentary award at the 2011 Socal Film Festival. The awards were announced during the event's closing ceremony on October 1st. Produced by Roger Lay, Jr. and directed by Ana Barredo,The Table is a documentary that exemplifies the power of community, of people pursuing their dreams in spite of having the odds stacked against them. The film follows the lives of a few individuals over the course of an entire year. They are part of a network support group of Hollywood hopefuls and established professionals who call themselves The Table because their informal meetings occur in the backrooms of Los Angeles restaurants. The Table is where doers and dreamers alike come to share their stories, strategies, and aspirations. Remarkably, they have been meeting together in this way every Thursday for nearly 20 years!

World Premiere of Toy Masters footage and Q&A during Power Con 2011

The innagural edition of Power-Con will be taking place in Los Angeles September 24-25. As part of the event Urban Archipelago FIlms will premiere 20 minutes of never before seen footage from the upcoming documentary film TOY MASTERS. The film chronicles the meteoric rise and fall of the MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE franchise as well as the years of struggle for credit over its origins.



The preview will be followed by a Q & A session with the filmmakers and various special guests moderated by Robert Meyer Burnett (director of FREE ENTERPRISE and FEMME FATALES).

TOY MASTERS documentary preview premieres at San Diego Comic Con 2011

TOY MASTERS, the new documentary feature film from Urban Archipelago was previewed at San Diego Comic Con on Friday night in front of a roaring crowd of fans in Hall H. The film chronicles the rise and fall of MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, the billion dollar toy and entertainment franchise. The exclusive 11 minute preview from Comic Con is now available online at the film's official site and also on facebook.
